On Thursday, March 28, 2019, the Project Fibonacci® Foundation hosted the first annual Women & STEAM Congress, a professional development and networking event for young women and girls in high school and college, in coordination with Utica College and Women TIES, and sponsored by R-Tronics, Community Bank, Adirondack Bank and media sponsor WKTV NewsChannel 2.

The centerpiece of the event was a panel on women in entrepreneurship, moderated by WKTV’s meteorologist Jill Reale (@TheRealeDeal), and featured Master Sgt. Della Pray (ret.) of the US Air Force; Cathy Dare, geoenvironmental engineer & chief executive manager of TRM environmental; the Honorable Bernadette Romano Clark, NYS Supreme Court Justice; Christi Harrington, professor of art at Mohawk Valley Community College; Jenna Stanton, 21-year-old owner of Soul Bowl; Dr. Maria Kontaridis, director of research at Masonic Medical Research Institute; Linda Fake, owner of Uniquely Yours Interior Design; Dr. Stephanie Nesbitt, faculty administrator at Utica College; and Sonja Glumich, security systems engineer for the Air Force Research Lab.

STEAM-Cast is a production of the Project Fibonacci® Foundation, a 501-c-3 nonprofit educational organization whose mission is to introduce our youth to a culture of interdisciplinary STEAM learning, teaching them to become creative, independent leaders of community resurgence.
